A sketch (of the now deceased) Doc. Samson vs the Hulk. As gaudy as it is in four colour i’ve always liked the design of this character for some reason. I’ve drawn him in pretty much his original costume with the addition of the Byrne fingerless gloves.

I also wanted to show him being pretty ineffectual in the scrap as his ‘strength’ was always that he could outsmart the Hulk – brain vs. brawn. Probably one of my favourite Marvel ‘B-list’ characters – shame they recently decided to make him a villain and then kill him off to be replaced by more generic Hulk-like gamma characters.

It is for Paul Cornell’s ‘The Occurrence at Slocombe Priory’ – not at all what i expected to illustrate from a Paul Cornell story – i had assumed it would be a superhero/sci-fi strip but instead it’s a great fun pastiche of a certain bunch of cartoon detectives (Scooby Doo).

The Balmoral hotel required a portable sales and presentation tool with which to promote themselves to various tourist boards throughout the world. A CD-Rom was developed as an additional support device to be used by the speaker during presentations. Stylish photography and elegant typography were used to reflect the class associated with the Balmoral. The menu allows for the speaker to jump between sections or to simply step through the presentation. This project was created in my capacity as a designer with Dunning Design in Glasgow.
